Thanks to Paul Noon who joined us at the microphone at the Kings Arms in North Walsham yesterday (Saturday 7 May). Here he is in full Rock Star mode.
... Our next date is at the Reefs Bar in Sea Palling on Saturday 21 May, where you'll be in for a treat. That's when Terry 'Smurf' Sullivan will be joining us as our new permanent front-thing. Here he is rehearsing with us earlier today at the Secret Location.
If Smurf's name seems familiar to you, it should - he has almost gigged with us twice before, but life and circumstances got in the way. So it's third time lucky! Those who have heard him know that he's a power pack of a vocalist. He's played more gigs than most of us have had hot dinners. A founder member of eighties metallers Tobruk, he's played with just about everyone, everywhere. For the past twenty years he's fronted Essex band The Donkeys, but since that band was sent to the glue factory he hasn't found a suitable replacement.
And as those of us who know us will know, we've found it hard to find a suitable long-term singer. It seems like a match made in heaven. We are really, really privileged to have him on board.
